Bevon Joseph - The Social Capital Guy
After 15 years on Wall Street and seven years running a nonprofit, I decided to pivot to share my knowledge and network and help people increase their social capital. I believe that relationships are at the core of life, especially in business and your network is your net worth.
Since I have experienced first-hand the power of increasing and growing my social capital, this podcast is very special to me. My mission now is to help students, entrepreneurs and founders of color improve their social capital.
During my 15 years working on Wall Street at banks, stock exchanges, hedge funds, and investment firms, and my last seven years running a Chicago-based nonprofit, I've met a lot of people. It was these people who opened doors for me, and introduced me to some amazing opportunities and relationships which greatly accelerated my career in finance, and particularly my entrepreneurial endeavors.
I'm a big believer in kids can't be what they can't see, that’s why social capital is such an important thing for everyone, especially from a young age.
